Chinese New Year – Year of the Horse
Celebrate the tradition until March 22th!
A CELEBRATION THAT BRINGS TOGETHER CULTURE AND SYMBOLISM
Casino Lisboa celebrates the Chinese New Year with a special programme of cultural and promotional initiatives, integrated into the celebrations promoted by Estoril Sol.
Last Saturday, February 21th, at the opening of the venue to the public, the official inauguration of the commemorative programme took place, featuring several millenary Chinese New Year traditions, namely the Incense Ceremony, the Roast Suckling Pig Ritual and the iconic Lion Dance.
The Lion Dance, marked by rhythm, colour and vibrancy, took place at three different moments throughout the day, allowing visitors to enjoy the performance while circulating through the leisure and gaming areas.
On display until March 22th, the installation dedicated to the Chinese New Year brings together several symbolic elements, including a colourful horse representing the sign that rules 2026, an emblematic Chinese gateway and an iconic life-sized peach tree.
